Somerset Villa Guesthouse is situated in Somerset West, the heart of the Cape Winelands, and is conveniently located a mere 30 minute drive from Cape Town International Airport, 15 minutes from Stellenbosch and 5 minutes from the white sands of False Bay beach.
The Guesthouse is rich in history as the main house, Casa Sereno, was one of the original buildings in the Somerset West area, built in 1923. Renovations were done to the original manor to preserve the original colonial Cape Dutch style. Well suited for individual travelers, small groups and families, Somerset Villa Guesthouse offers warm hospitality and service excellence.
The guesthouse consists of 9 en-suite rooms, some with lovely mountain and countryside views, and others that overlook a lush garden and the swimming pool. Eight of the rooms have a separate exterior entrance, and most of the double occupancy rooms have their own private, furnished terrace.
Rooms have been individually decorated in an elegant colonial Cape Dutch style with modern features and neutral tones to create a relaxed ambiance.
All rates include a hearty breakfast in the breakfast room.

Classic Rooms are elegant with a private en-suite modern shower room. Some also have a private entrance and terrace. Sleeps 2 people.
Family Rooms each has a comfortable sitting area, bath and shower, mini-fridge and private entrance with terrace overlooking the lush garden. Sleeps 4 people.

The owner, manager and staff of Somerset Villa Guesthouse are conscious of the environment and take care to minimize our impact in various ways:
We separate and recycle all plastic, glass and paper and all garden refuse is composted.
Somerset Villa Guesthouse uses EU-Ecolabel approved cleaning products that are non-toxic and biodegradable, and purchased from local supplier, Blue Mountain Hygiene, who goes to great lengths to provide quality products that are well-researched, local and have a low carbon-footprint.
Guests are provided with a range of Rooibos amenities that are cruelty free and gentle on the environment.
In an effort to minimize water wastage we have duel flush toilets in most of our rooms and guest are requested to reuse bath towels. The garden is watered from the borehole during responsible times to avoid evaporation.
In order to conserve electricity, timers have been placed on all of the geysers, all lighting throughout the guesthouse has been upgraded to LED and the bedside lamps have energy efficient bulbs. The low wattage wall panel heaters have been installed in the guest rooms and a fireplace in the lounge area keep everyone warm on those chilly days.
We also do our bit for the community by supporting various charities such as the local Hospice and SPCA.
