16 White House is a gorgeous 3 bedroom, fully-equipped, self-catering Victorian house, ideal for 3 couples. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite and the 3rd has a bathroom just across from it. Luxurious linen, towels and bathroom amenities are provided as well as a basic supply of tea, coffee, sugar, candles, starter package wood pallets and firelighters.

All glass, plastic, paper and tin is recycled and organic waste is composted at GuBas De Hoek. They also make responsible choices to reduce waste for example, using reusable containers for guest amenities.
Natural products like vinegar, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda are used for cleaning and because they use the innovative and eco-friendly washing ball, laundry detergents can be minimised.
As no harsh chemicals are used, they safely re-use the grey water from washing and showers in the garden. To further conserve our precious water resources, GuBas De Hoek have installed reduced flow shower-heads and keeps a water wise garden filled with succulents.
Guests can expect delicious cuisine made from local and ethical ingredients at GuBas de Hoek. They grow salads, herbs and vegetables to serve fresh from the garden and supplement this with other local produce like trouts from Two Dam Montagu, cheese from Bonnievale and of course, wine from Robertson.
GuBas De Hoek has significantly reduced their energy demand from the grid with solar geysers, heat pumps and supplementary solar power producing photovoltaic systems and other energy saving appliances.
The main building at Gubas De Hoek is about a 100 years old and was built in an eco-friendly way. The high ceilings, shutters and sash windows for example provide excellent natural ventilation and cooling.
