A1 Kynaston B&B is located in a quiet residential area in the popular seaside holiday destination of Jeffreys Bay in the Eastern Cape. Situated just off the N2 Highway, roughly an hour’s drive southwest of the Port Elizabeth International Airport, Jeffreys Bay is nestled between the natural brilliance of the Gamtoos and Kromme Rivers, and the two estuaries of the Kabeljous and Seekoei.
There is a guest lounge and an indoor braai area that leads out onto a sundeck that boasts spectacular views. Your host serves a freshly prepared breakfast in the dining room that overlooks the Indian Ocean where passing dolphins are regularly spotted.

ECO-FRIENDLY ACCOMMODATION JEFFREYS BAY
The Sea 4 Ever Suite is on the top floor of the main house and has incredible, sweeping views of the bay. This suite can be accessed by 2 flights of stairs inside the main house or via the outside stairway to its private entrance. Well-suited to a family of 4 with its two interleading rooms (one with a Queen sized bed and the other with two single beds), en-suite bathroom, kitchenette, covered balcony and spacious sun deck that is shared with The Bird Room.
The Bird Room is located on the top floor and is accessed by two flights of stairs in the main house or by the outside stairs. This sea-facing room features 2 interleading bedrooms (one Queen and the other has two single beds), a full en-suite bathroom, small kitchenette and covered verandah that leads on to a fantastic sundeck (shared with The Sea 4 Ever Suite) with panoramic views.
The Flower Room is on the first floor and has a double bed with en-suite bathroom. As this room is located at the back there is no sea-view, however, guests staying in this room have full use of the sundeck, indoor braai facilities and other guest areas.
The Nature Room (Garden Family Room) can sleep 4 and offers a Queen sized bed and 2 single beds, en-suite bathroom, well equipped kitchenette, separate entrance, private verandah, full sea-view and portable braai. This room is also has a fenced-off garden.
The Fisherman’s Room / Studio is located on the ground level, has a private entrance and opens onto an enclosed courtyard. The room has a double bed, en-suite shower and kitchenette.
All rooms have a tea & coffee station with homemade biscuits; free WiFi, TV, fans and hairdryers. Rates include breakfast.
Songs of the Sea (Sea-facing Luxury Family Apartment) is a double story, two bedroom apartment in Jeffreys Bay affiliated to A1 Kynaston. This apartment has breathtaking sea views, modern design, a fully-equipped kitchen, a comfortable lounge with a deck downstairs, two bedrooms with decks overlooking beautiful Albatros Beach, and a full bathroom with corner bath and shower upstairs. At A1 Kynaston B&B all plastic and glass are recycled through the JBay Recycling Project.
Kitchen waste is composted and provides nutrients for our garden. We also aim to reduce waste by implementing simple practices like purchasing toiletry products in larger quantity and dispensing for guests into reusable containers.
We use Eco Kleen, a multi-purpose, eco-friendly, biodegradable, non-toxic cleaning product to keep A1 Kynaston clean in a responsible way.
We provide our guests with biodegradable, natural soap that is handmade in Jeffreys Bay.
We harvest and store rainwater in tanks; this provides us with all the water we need for the garden as well providing the guesthouse with a backup water supply. To further conserve this precious resource we have installed flow restrictors on all our showers.
To conserve energy we have installed solar geysers with gas backup; we cook on gas and have updated to LED lighting throughout A1 Kynaston.
