Have you ever considered how many toilet rolls your household sends in for recycling every year? As recycling uses energy and other resources it should always be the last resort; reducing and reusing our waste is just far more sensible, period. Sustainable living can also be a fun and pragmatic outlet for your creativity. Here is one idea to upcycle your loo rolls:
UPCYCLING TOILET ROLLS INTO BIODEGRADABLE SEEDLING POTS
- Collect your empty toilet roll holders.
- Make 4, equidistant, small incisions on one end; approximately 1 cm
- Fold like a box
- Fill with soil/compost and add your seed
- Water and watch your seedling grow!
